Your detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Havana

  • Arrival and welcome at the Havana International airport (ask previously for your pick up in case of another arrival airport). Transfer-in from the airport to your private accommodation, your guide will provide you with basic information about the dressing codes, currency exchange and other aspects of general interest.
  • Depending on the arrival time of your flight, we might pre-book for you in one of the many PALADARES (private family restaurants) in Havana. If you have any reference from a friend or previous Cuba traveler, let us know in advance so we can organize a reservation in the restaurant of your preference.
  • Check in at your private accommodation in Havana.

Day 2:  Havana

In the morning

We suggest starting at 9:00 am

  • Walking city tour around Old Havana. Explore the main squares and dig into history of this beautiful colonial part of the city.
  • Drive on classic American car of the 50´ies. Enjoy a drive on a Classic American car through the main streets and neighborhoods of the city, encounter yourself with the Malecón (famous Havana´s waterfront), 23rd Street in Vedado, the luxurious 5th Avenue of Miramar. Stop for a fresh cocktail at one of the famous bars which Hemingway used to visit, El Floridita for a daiquiri, La Bodeguita del Medio for a mojito.
  • Lunch and time on your own in Old Havana.

In the afternoon

After lunch, if it is of your interest, you may select some of the following extra activities. You may have a car for 4 hours at your disposal at an extra cost of 65 Euros or alternatively you could use taxis or the famous “Cocp-Taxi” motorbikes.

  • Visit the Fine Arts Museum
  • Visit the Revolution Museum
  • Visit the Napoleon Museum
  • Visit the City Museum (Palacio de los Capitanes y Generales)
  • Visit the house and birthplace of Jose Marti (National Hero)
  • Miramar neighborhood and its 5th Avenue
  • Time at Playas del Este, famous beaches 25 km from Havana – (Extra cost)

In the evening

We suggest starting at 8:00 pm

After getting back in your accommodation for a quick shower and a little rest to ¨recharge your batteries¨, you may select among some of the following activities:

  • Dinner at a Paladar of your choice
  • For those who prefer a light dinner at a great ambience, we suggest the terrace-bar at El Cocinero.
  • For those who want to prolong their stay at Old Havana, the brewery ¨La Muralla¨ or the tapas bar ¨La Vitrola¨, at La Plaza Vieja, are very good options.
  • For late night outters, good options at clubs with live music, such as Sarao´s bar, Corner Café, Melen Club, Jazz Café, La Zorra y el Cuervo, Don Cangrejo, Sangri La, and more.
  • And for those looking for salsa, both Casas de la Música nightclubs, in Miramar and Centro Habana, are the perfect spots.

Note: During the evening, you can have a driver and a guide, at your disposal.


Day 3: Heading west to Viñales Valley

Viñales is a small town in the western province of Pinar del Rio, around 160 km from Havana. The town, located in a valley holding the same name, is surrounded by a stunning landscape. It was founded by a group of families from Galicia, Spain in a very fertile region where different crops grow at the same time being tobacco the main of them. Viñales was declared as Cultural Landscape Heritage by UNESCO in 1999.

Viñales is the perfect spot for Nature lovers, walk around the valley and visit a tobacco farm, talk to locals and farmers, ride a horse and explore or simply go on a trekking excursion, birdwatching or a bike tour around this quiet and original small town.

For big explorers, Viñales holds lots of caves in its territory, being the highest point the cave system Santo Tomás, the largest cave of Cuba, with 43 km of galleries and still no totally explored.

In the morning:

We suggest starting at 8:00 am

  • Pick up at your accommodation, after breakfast.
  • Brief stop at ¨Las Barrigonas¨ coffee shop, in the highway halfway to Viñales for a coffee or a drink and some stretching. In Las Barrigonas, was installed one of the first WIFI hotspots in the province Pinar del Río.
  • Almost arriving to Viñales we´ll stop for a first encounter with Viñales Valley from the top at ¨Mirador Hotel Los Jazmines¨. Enjoy the view and admire the landscape for a few minutes.
  • After this stop, we´ll head to the valley ¨Dos Hermanas¨ and get to know the origins and story of the ¨Mural de la Prehistoria¨ a giant wall painting made directly on rocks of one of the many ¨mogotes¨, the rounded hummocks-like mountains of Viñales.
  • Lunch at a local Paladar
  • Visit to ¨La Cueva del Indio¨ and enjoy a boat trip in its underground river.
  • Check in at private accommodation in Viñales.
  • Dinner at home or in a private restaurant of your choice.

Day 4:  Heading to Playa Larga – 170 Km / 2.5 hours.

Playa Larga is the right destination for those looking for real adventure. You can choose from a birdwatching tour, a nature trail walk, to go snorkeling or scuba diving in open waters, or simply go for a swimming, and enjoy the beach.

In the way from Jagüey Grande to Playa Larga, at La Boca, take a break and visit the Crocodile Protection Farm or ¨La Aldea Taína¨, a small hotel built in the middle of a lake, representing the constructions from our indigenous population.

In the way to Playa Girón you´ll find “La Cueva de los Peces” (Fish Cave), an underwater cave, 70 mts deep approximately. It great for for snorkeling and scuba diving and is for sure one of the highlights of this part of the trip.


Day 5:  Heading to Trinidad (190 km, 2.5 hours)

Trinidad, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1988, is one of the architectonical jewels of the center of the island and Cuba. Founded and settled between mountains and sea in the early 1514, it soon became an incredible spot where history, nature and the Caribbean Sea mixed up together in perfect harmony. This will be for sure, one of the highlights of your trip to Cuba.

In the morning:

  • Pick up at your private accommodation at 9:00 am
  • Arrival in Trinidad. Check in at your private accommodation.
  • Lunch at a local Paladar

In the afternoon:

  • Explore the city and the historic center with its various museums, visit some of them in order to get in touch with the local traditions and legends of the wealthy families of Trinidad.

In the evening

  • Dinner at a local Paladar
  • Night on your own. We suggest a visit to Casa de la Música or any of the many bars and clubs with live traditional Cuban music around the city. Your tour guide should update you about the hot spots for the Trinidad nights.


Day 6:  Trinidad. Tour the colonial city and its surroundings

In the morning

We suggest starting at 9:00 am

  • Visit the “Valle de los Ingenios”, a fertile region about 7 kms away from the center of Trinidad, where sugar cane became the main crop and slaves the source of work force to harvest and process it. Visit a colonial farm-house and take the risk to climb a 43 mts high tower to enjoy a great view of this well-known ¨Valley of the Sugar Mills¨, counting more than 30 of them by mid-18th century.
  • Take a walk around the city for further, deeper scouting.
  • Lunch at a local Paladar
  • In the afternoon, enjoy and relax at Playa Ancón beach.
  • Night on your own.


Day 7: Back to Havana through Topes de Collantes. Short visit in Santa Clara.

In the morning – activities starting at 8:00 am
The drive from Trinidad to Santa Clara runs through a mountain road with magnifivent landscapes, being the highest point "Topes de Collantes", 880 meters over the sea level, where you can make a stop at ¨Casa del Café¨, and continue your way to Santa Clara.

  • Visit to Santa Clara (also known as Che Guevara´s city), with its main museums dedicated to Che Guevara, the museum and mausoleum at Plaza de la Revolución in Santa Clara, and the armored train.
  • Lunch at a local Paladar. Or continue your way to Havana and stop at ¨Aguada de Pasajeros¨, a facility around half your way, for some snacks, bathroom, etc.

In the afternoon

  • Arrival in Havana. Check-in at your private accommodation.

In the evening

  • Dinner in a local Paladar
  • Night on your own. Explore the many night venues for music and drinks.

Day 8: Havana

Note: This day, activities will be organized / scheduled according to departure flight times.

In the morning

Activities starting at 9:00 am

  • Let us know in advance if there is any particular wish you would like to accomplish before departure.
  • Lunch at a local paladar
  • Transfer out to the airport
